About Marissa Floro

Marissa joined Stanford’s campus as the Gender & Sexual Identities Postdoctoral Fellow at CAPS and has stayed on through the Weiland Health Initiative, serving queer, trans, and non-binary students through clinical and advocacy services. Marissa has focused her research, clinical, and teaching work on intersections of identity, especially race, attraction, and gender. Additionally, Marissa is an IAYT-Q 500hr yoga teacher through Stanford Medicine’s YogaX program. Marissa offers her clinical services, academic and advocacy work, and her yoga education in order to empower Stanford students to better understand, explore, and connect with themselves and others.
