Stanford Pride Virtual Book Club

Featuring The Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas

The Cemetery Boys is written by a queer, trans, Latinx writer originally from the Bay Area.

When his traditional Latinx family has problems accepting his gender, Yadriel becomes determined to prove himself a real brujo. With the help of his cousin and best friend Maritza, he performs the ritual himself, and then sets out to find the ghost of his murdered cousin and set it free.

Stanford Pride leaves Twitter

Stanford Pride has made the decision to deactivate our Twitter account as of June 26, 2023.

Since Elon Musk took over ownership of Twitter last year, it has become an increasingly unsafe space for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC people. Anti-trans and anti-LGBTQ tweets have skyrocketed, particularly after Twitter announced that it was removing its longstanding policy to protect transgender people from targeted misgendering and deadnaming.

Twitter’s direction does not align with Stanford Pride’s values. Stanford Pride’s Board of Directors voted to deactivate our Twitter account and we are reviewing our other social media channels to determine if similar action is needed on those platforms.
